<Please read this in your best infomercial voice> If you are a current high school senior interested in attending TAMUCC and joining the Honors Program, have I got a deal for you! High school seniors can apply early to the Honors Program, with the ability to be accepted before you graduate!
We are so excited that all of our students have returned and that our new students are here too! The summer was a little too quiet with so many students out this summer.
We are taking applications through October 15 for current Islanders and new Islanders that will enroll in Spring 2015 classes. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for October 23-24.
This summer has been super busy! We had a record number of applications submitted this summer - 93! That means we were very busy with interviews during the entire month of June. We are pleased to announced that we accepted 50 new Islanders into Honors for Fall 2014!
Today is THE day! Our early application deadline is today and we are accepting applications through Midnight. Our application is always open and the deadlines are so we can review them in time for interviews. Applications submitted after today will be held for our regular application deadline, which is in October.
The Honors Program is a uniquely interdisciplinary opportunity for ambitious and dedicated students who seek a community of like-minded student-scholars and faculty-mentors, are eager to hone fundamental skills in expression and reasoning, and hope to achieve special recognition by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for having gone well above and beyond the ordinary college accomplishment.
A big Islander Welcome to all the students that are interested in joining Honors! Applications are welcome at any time of year. We have two application cycles: early and regular. Our early application deadline is May 15. Students accepted during this time will start the Fall 2014 semester as Honors students.
Our regular deadline is October 15.
Interviews are by invitation only and are approximately 2 weeks after the application deadline.
As the Honors Program undergoes changes in curriculum, requirements, and facilities, perhaps it is also time to retire the old website and bring on a spiffy new website.
